God Bless this Child

The past week has gone by in a blur.
Just a week ago, we were surrounding by huge snowflakes and everything covered in white!
Yes, I am not making it up.
We had quite the little snow flurry last week.  Who knew?
Oct. 22nd and over an inch of snow!!
The kids ran outside like it was Christmas.
We pulled out the winter coats, the hats, the scarves, the snow pants, and boots.
We dug out the sleds from under the swimming pool and water guns, which it feels we just used yesterday and prepared for winter.
After the tea party on Sunday, the whole week felt like a celebration for Lil Miss.
She wore her crown every where.
The YMCA
Grocery Store
Target
and to Bed.
On Thursday night, we did the whole cake and ice cream thing,
and opened a few more gifts.
Baby girl had the whole "Happy Birthday to Me" song down and
sang it nonstop.

Over the Weekend we headed to Ohio, for my nephew Reed's baptism.
Lil Miss tried to capture some shots of the baptism.... little photographer!
Nate was chosen as Reed's godfather, so we wouldn't have missed it.

We love Father Mark.  He baptized all my little ones.
He had the kids help with a few of the steps.  Rosie helped him
with the Frankincense and Bubba helped drape the baptismal cloth on little Reed.

One happy family.

Going back to Beth and Scott's house, the kids had a blast playing with their cousins.
The house was filled with kids giggling and lots of pretend car noises.
We did triple duty with the cupcakes, celebrating Reed's baptism, Lil Miss's third birthday and Mason's third birthday at the same time.
Birthday Kids
Nate got in his Reed time.... awwww.
Gigi was in baby heaven too.
She's a natural.
Sadly, the trip was too short and we found ourselves Sunday morning
packing up and saying goodbye.  It was so
hard to leave this little booger... but Thanksgiving will be here soon.

We are back at home now having archery practice and
trying not to break anything too important.
I have to be content with getting pictures of my littlest nephew
every other day and hearing his little noises through the phone.
So blessed to be a part of his life.

one...two... THREE!!!!

Our baby girl is 3!!!
I can't believe it.
Where has the time gone?
Only yesterday she was learning to crawl..
and now she is doing everything her self.
Why do they grow up so fast?
She's my baby girl
and always will be.
Being three or thirty three won't change that.

Happy Birthday Lil Miss!!!
You fill our life with sunshine and sweetness.

A very merry BIRTHDAY tea party

Yesterday, my girls hosted a toddler tea party.
Instead of doing a birthday party for Lil Miss we decided to do a
toddler tea party for some of her friends.  My oldest two were just
as excited for the party as Lil Miss.
They all dressed up and helped me set the table for the prettiest tea party ever!

We had made lace crowns for all the little girls and gave them beaded necklaces to add to their princess like attire.
The girls all showed up in their Sunday best.
I just adore little girls drinking out of the little tea cups.
The moms were worried about breaking the fancy cups.. but I had thought ahead and
purchased a few extras from the Goodwill so we were good.
Amazingly enough there were no broken tea cups!

Olivia has the "tea" sipping down.
Our "tea" was strawberry and chocolate milk.
It was toddler friendly.
We had a dance party in the living room where they sang "ring around the rosey"
and twirled around to make their dresses billow.

Joe and Angie brought their two girls.
Josie and Ella were a big hit with all the little girls.
They were trying to keep up with all that was going on around them.

Of course the girls didn't have enough sugar with M & M's and jellybeans,
we HAD to have cupcakes.
Can't believe this little girl is turning 3!!!
Ella and Josie gave the cupcakes two thumbs up!

Thank you to all the little girls who made Lil Miss' special day
so memorable.  She was going to bed last night talking about her tea party.
It was a hit!

Introducing Reed Lukas

Oh, I had the pleasure of traveling to Ohio this weekend with
Lil Miss.  We took off excitedly Friday morning ready to meet my
new nephew Reed Lukas who was born last Monday 10/7/13.

I was afraid my sister and brother in law were going to have to throw me out since Lil Miss and I were over there almost the entire weekend, but I think it helps that I won't be around for a couple weeks and live so far away.
On Saturday morning, we spent a few hours
taking beautiful pictures of the little peanut.

The Little Buckeye

My favorite photos of the whole morning were when the
big brothers came in.
They are obviously proud Big Brothers!!

Pointing out the babies toes and kissing him on
top of the head.....priceless.

My Lil Miss got in on the action too!
There was a lot of chaos behind the scenes.
Silly faces!!!

Seriously two weeks is too long to cuddle with him again!!
Thanks Beth and Scott for letting me make myself at home in your house basically all weekend.
I am a proud Auntie!!
